Where my work stays consistent is in my intention of using it as methods of studying social hierarchies, institutions, micro/macro cultures and social dynamics, expressed through sculpture, 2D and experimental works used as an alternate lens to alter/enforce different perspectives for either myself or the audience.
My practice has been quite experimental recently in terms of materiality. I have years of experience in construction, wood shops and screen printing as well as the Adobe Suite. Quite honestly, I like to make things and I pride myself in my craftiness. While a lot of my work is physical there's almost always digital or 2D accompiment.
My work can look like installation pieces that were made to invoke thought, commentary and emotion regarding gun violence and performative activism or challenging myself to create sustainable fabrics out of waste material using techniques passed down over generations. I find my works to be binoculars altering/enforcing different perspectives for either myself or the audience amongst a variety of topics. It’s political commentary.
